Dixon: Due to a tattletale unit malfunction, Dixon had a level 2 lockdown drill today. We have these drills 3-4 times a school year. As practiced, all students and staff followed procedures to a tee. I am very proud of everyone. This is why we practice and have periodic drills. We will continue to look into the unit and make any repairs necessary.

Joshua Dixon: Bus #4 is running late this afternoon, Thursday, May 11, 2023. Thank you for your understanding.

Joshua Dixon: Good Morning. Due to back to back programs requiring extra staging and décor in our all purpose room, All Pro Dads has been cancelled for Friday, May 5, 2023. We will resume the program in the fall. Thank you for your participation and continued support. Have an amazing day.

Transportation: Bus 6 is delayed due to a train. This may impact other bus routes. Please be patient. Bus 6 is behind picking up students. Other busses may also be delayed.

Spring Fling is just around the corner! We are looking for Volunteers and Donations!

Dixon: Parents/Guardians please be reminded that we have established procedures in place for drop off and pick up to ensure student safety. Please do not drop students off prior to the 8:10am arrival time and leave them unattended. There is no supervision prior to 8:10am and students were found running about the parking lot. Further, the side lot is for staff parking and the entrance is used for bus drop off and pick up. This allows for two separate traffic flows and ensures safety for those students walking to school. Please do not use the side lot. If you wish to park and walk your student(s) to the front door, please use the library parking lot closest to Salem St. or the lot next to the church. We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to the established procedures. Together we can keep all of our students safe! Thank you!

Attention, bus riders: There may be some transportation delays due to road closures with bus routes today. Please be patient. Drivers are working to reroute where necessary. Thank you and have a great day.

Good afternoon Dixon Families,
While I can appreciate and value others’ time, I do need to request that our arrival and dismissal routines be followed and respected. The procedures in place do take a little time and are not for the impatient, but these practices are SAFE FOR OUR CHILDREN. Please refrain from pulling into the side lot to drop off your child(ren) in the morning. The front line is the ONLY way you should be using to drop off your child. For the safety of students and staff AND to allow our buses the right of way, please do not use the side lot for drop off or pick-up. Further, at dismissal, please be aware that you are not blocking neighboring driveways. This has been requested but continues to happen, frustrating homeowners. Any questions, please feel free to contact me at 330-482-5355.
Thank you. Dr. Sharshan
