A reminder as we enter State Testing and the end of the school year:
Parents are required to call the school before 9:00 A.M. to report their child off when they will not be in school. Upon return to school, all students must provide the office with a written note. Per policy, students have 48 hours to provide a physician or parent note.
We appreciate your help with this as the documentation is essential for attendance auditing purposes.

CMS: Starting Monday, April 17th we will have a short after-school karate program presented by American Karate Studios. Grades 5-8 will run from 2:45-3:30, and Grades Pre-K – 4 may participate from 3:30-4:15 in the wrestling room at Columbiana Middle School.
There is no cost for this event for Columbiana students. The program will run on Mondays from April 17th-May 22nd.

Reminder: The 8th Grade Cedar Point trip is scheduled for Monday, May 8th. The remaining balance of $25 for the Cedar Point field trip is due this Monday, April 3. The t-shirt form and payment are also due on Monday. Please turn all of these items into your homeroom teacher. Late payments will not be accepted. Congratulations to Delaney Finsley! Delaney received the $1,000 Lester Marrison Book Grant Award from Doug Stuart, Northeast Region President of the Ohio School Board Association at the Wayne County Schools Career Center. Delaney was one of three recipients of this grant from the region.

Congratulations to Aide Bowyer, Mia Strohecker, Yesenia Pantoja, and Chase Tomalka for their outstanding Youth Service awards for 2023. The Columbiana Rotary has recognized Aiden Bowyer as the 2023 Heroes and Halos outstanding member of the year, Mia Strohecker as the 2023 Columbiana Area outstanding Interact student of the year, Yesenia Pantoja as the 2023 Columbiana Area Girls Scout of the year and chase Tomalka as the 2023 Columbiana Area Boy Scout of the year. Each of these Clipper students should be commended for their outstanding service to the greater Columbiana community!

CMS: Our Jog-A-Thon has been postponed due to the weather projections for tomorrow. We want to offer this experience for students on a day that it can be fully enjoyed. We have rescheduled this event for Friday, April 14th.

CMS Reminder: Last day for tickets for Friday morning's movie is tomorrow (3/23) morning during 1st period. CMS students will have the opportunity to participate in a movie event on Friday (3/24). Tickets will be available with a $3 minimum donation (all proceeds will go to the CMS Robotics Club). Students who purchase a ticket will have an opportunity to cheer on our robotics team members, see Mr. Jackson and Mr. Martin get pied, and watch a movie on Friday (3/24) morning. Fox's Pizza Night will be held on Thursday, March 23 to help raise funds to help with Camp Fitch costs. Any support would be greatly appreciated!
