CMS: The Clipper High School boys basketball program will sponsor the annual youth camp from June 12th-15th. Registration closes on June 2nd. This camp is for boys going into grades 2nd-6th grade for the 2024/2025 school year. You can register at columbianaboysbasketball.com under the youth tab. Our CMS fifth grade choir won first place in their category (treble choir) on Saturday at Music in the Parks!

District Wide Notification:
The district will release classes 2 hours early on May 30th PreK-12. All transportation will be 2 hours earlier than the normal schedule. Please direct any questions to the respective office(s). Thank you and have a great finish to your school year!! Good luck Seniors -- Class of 2024!!!
Columbiana Schools will operate on a two-hour early release at all three buildings on the last day of school for students (Thursday, May 30th). Dismissal and transportation will run two hours earlier than usual on that day.

CMS: The 7th/8th Grade Masquerade Formal Dance will be held on Friday, May 17th from 7:00-9:00 pm. Student drop-off for the dance will be at the CMS Front Doors. Tickets are $10 and must be purchased by Friday, May 10th.

CMS Football: We will have a mandatory sign-up and parent meeting on Saturday, June 1st, at 9:00 a.m. in the high school cafeteria for current 6th and 7th-grade students interested in CMS Football. Paperwork, summer and fall schedules and any other important information will be distributed at that meeting. Also, it is important to sign up for Remind 101 by texting @rstallsmi to the number 81010. All parent-coach communication will go through Remind 101.
CMS Reminder: All students in grades 5, 6, and 7 are reminded to return scheduling forms. These must be signed by a parent or guardian and returned by Wednesday, May 1st for students to be scheduled into elective/music offerings for the upcoming year. Thank you for your help with this.

CMS: Congratulations to Colton Ward!
CMS 8th Grader Colton Ward participated in the Ohio Music Education Association Solo & Ensemble Contest held at Alliance High School on April 13, 2024. Colton played the piano solo, "Wizard Fantasy" by Mary Leaf. He received a Superior (I) rating, the highest rating given, representing a performance with very few technical errors and exemplifying a truly musical expression. The Superior rating is reserved for the truly outstanding performance. Great job, Colton!
CMS: Our scheduled 5th and 8th-grade state assessments today are postponed due to an issue with the state testing portal. Students throughout the state were unable to test today. Cambium Assessment is working to resolve the issue. We hope to be able to run our state assessments tomorrow (part 1) and Friday (part 2) for both 5th and 8th grade.

Just a few reminders as we enter State Testing and the end of the school year...
Parents must call the school before 9:00 A.M. to report their child off when they will not be in attendance. Upon return to school, all students must provide the office with a written note. Per policy, students have 48 hours to provide a physician or parent note. We appreciate your help, as the documentation is essential for attendance auditing purposes.
CMS will begin state testing on Wednesday (4/10) and run through the month of April. Please contact the office for your child's specific state testing dates as you schedule upcoming appointments.
