A new school supply list for the 2020-2021 academic year has been posted. Remote learners may not need the same supplies at home, but may need some of them.

Students and/or parents are encouraged to reach out to their remote learning teachers for more information regarding supplies.
For traditional students, supply lists are posted, but I welcome parents to send a supply/pencil box/bag with their child for just the supplies they need at the time (ie. One glue stick instead of a large quantity etc.). We will not have large quantities of shared supplies this year).
CMS Reminder: Curbside pickup for families at the CMS cafeteria doors tomorrow from 8:00 am - 1:00 pm for all 8th grade students any any others who have not yet picked up belongings and/or to drop off any school property (textbooks, calculators, chromebooks, etc.). CMS Reminder: CMS will offer curbside pickup for families to drop off school property (technology, textbooks, etc.) and to pick up student belongings from lockers/homerooms.
This drive-up service will be provided next week from 8:00 am – 1:00 pm at the back of the building (CMS cafeteria entrance). Dates are determined by youngest student in the building. 5th Grade – June 1, 6th Grade – June 2, 7th Grade – June 3, 8th Grade – June 4.
This service will be provided from 8:00 am – 1:00 pm each day. Please have ID available and name(s) and grade(s) of students written on a piece of paper for our staff to quickly determine which items you are at the school to collect and please have an ID ready.

Good morning Clippers!
Tomorrow marks one week until the end of the school year. It is also the last day work may be provided to you through bins. The bins are still located in the CHS commons (enter through the front doors of the high school) from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Many have been returning school property that is no longer needed to bins. This is certainly appreciated.
We will also have dedicated days the first week of June for additional return of school property and the collection of personal belongings through a curbside drop-off/pick-up service from 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Monday, June 1st – 5th Grade
Tuesday, June 2nd – 6th Grade
Wednesday, June 3rd -7th Grade
Thursday, June 4th – 8th Grade
The last day of the grading period/teacher close-out day is Friday, May 22nd, so all students should work diligently to turn in 4th grading period work by Thursday, May 21st.
Although we are not yet sure what the 2020-2021 academic year will bring, we know that learning will continue at Columbiana Middle School. Our staff is working diligently to plan for the future and ensure continued student success.

Good morning CMS! Yesterday, Governor DeWine announced we will finish the school year remotely. As a result, teachers will not have time in a traditional classroom to assist students in catching up on work for the remainder of the year. Students must check teacher pages, Google Classroom, and student email each school day for important updates from teachers. This is critical for your success as a student during this time. Clipper Families: We have made a few changes to previous information in an effort to keep staff and families as safe as possible. All pick up/drop off of assignments (K-12) will take place at the high school from 8:00-2:00 on Thursdays. Please enter through the front doors of CHS for assignment delivery/pick up. CMS will convert our conference room into a pantry for food (boxed/canned/nonperishable items), hygiene products, and school supplies. If you would like to donate items, please drop off at the CMS office between 9:00-2:00 M-F. We will make these items available for families picking up hardcopy packets and those who stop in for free/reduced lunches. CMS play practice for this evening has been cancelled. Mrs. Silver will be available to remain with any students who cannot be picked up until the regular pick up time.
CMS Parents: Students have been given a letter, similar to the one posted yesterday, regarding plans for the upcoming weeks. The Saturday performance for immediate family has now been cancelled. There will not be a performance of the CMS production this weekend. Thank you!

Winter 2020 Recognition/Spirit Assembly. Go Clips
To all 6th and 7th grader students interested in playing CMS football next year, there will be a student/parent meeting on Saturday, March 21st at 10:00 in the CMS cafeteria. All who are possibly interested in playing are encouraged to attend.
