CMS/CHS: One of our high school students is working towards their Gold Award in the Girl Scouts. Her project includes a survey of students in order to determine what playground equipment students would be interested in seeing at our school. CMS: Just a reminder that state testing begins on Monday. We have sent out the testing schedule previously, but please feel free to contact the office at 330-482-5354 with any questions. Eighth grade ELA state testing begins Monday and Tuesday at 8:15. Those testing on the remote learning schedule in the afternoon are asked to drop students off at the front doors by 12:15 for PM testing. Please consider state testing schedules when establishing appointments where possible. If your child cannot attend on their scheduled testing dates, please contact our office. CMS: We will visit classes next week in order to discuss course offering selections. We are tentative planning to offer some elective choices along with our band and choir offerings for the upcoming year. These options will be explained to students. Students will take a survey and a form with their selection will be printed and sent home for parent signature. This signature form will further explain the tentative course offerings. Attention Parents, Staff and Students: The Columbiana School District conducted a safety lock down drill today in conjunction with the Columbiana Police Department K-9 Units. Our buildings safety is priority one and our schools being drug free is part of that safety priority. Our Police Department has cleared our buildings, and we are back to the normal education schedule. We will continue to work with our police department on a more regular basis this school year to keep our schools safe and drug free. Thank you and have a great rest of your week.

CMS: The fourth grading period begins on Monday, March 22nd. If you plan on changing your CMS student from remote to traditional for the 4th grading period, please contact the office with that information by the end of this week (3/12) so we can adequately plan for the upcoming quarter. State testing will begin on Monday, March 29th. Teachers may provide students with testing dates. Mrs. McNeal will communicate testing dates for our remote learners.
