Clipper Families, The Columbiana Chamber of Commerce has seen an EMERGENCY need for employees throughout the area and would like to try and help. Consequently, they are hosting an Employment Drive on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, from 3PM-7PM in the Courtyard of Firestone Farms. This is a "Call to Arms" job fair, of sorts, to people in our community in order to help area businesses succeed. Food will be provided for those seeking employment made possible by Mark Lamoncha from Humtown. District: Just a friendly reminder to double-check your notification options within the Clipper App. Especially if your child has been promoted to another building. You can go to the Clipper app, select menu then select settings. From here, you can click on my schools and select which notifications you would like to continue to see. This Sunday's Graduation Ceremony will be streamed live at 2:00pm on YouTube. Search for the Columbiana Schools YouTube Channel. We anticipate, as scheduled, an outdoor graduation at Firestone Stadium with minimal restrictions to attendance for our families of the graduates. Extended family and friends may watch the ceremony via YouTube. The streaming will be available approximately 5 minutes prior to the ceremony. Congratulations to the Class of 2021. As a reminder, the District will be having an Early Release day next Fri. May 28. Information specific to Joshua Dixon will be coming home today with your 1st-4th grade student. It's also attached here for your reference.

Reminder: Clipper Band and Choir Students/Families- Students that participated in the Horst Meat Sale, Order Pick-up is scheduled for today, Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 4:30 to 5:30 PM. Dear parents of open enrolled students: The deadline to submit your open enrollment applications for the 2021-2022 school year is May 1. Notification of acceptance letters will be mailed this week to families who have submitted their applications as of April 16. Clipper School Community -- Please remain vigilant regarding the COVID-19 pandemic through the remainder of the school year. As we work to bring the rest of our school year to as normal a setting as we can, we want our children, staff, parents and the greater community to stay safe. The district has had a couple of COVID-19 cases this past week in our elementary school. Although these cases were exposures outside of school, we must stay focused to continue to mitigate the virus when and where we can. East Liverpool City Hospital is having a special Pfizer vaccine clinic for students 16-17 years old students on Friday April 16th. Attention Parents, Staff and Students: The Columbiana School District conducted a safety lock down drill today in conjunction with the Columbiana Police Department K-9 Units. Our buildings safety is priority one and our schools being drug free is part of that safety priority. Our Police Department has cleared our buildings, and we are back to the normal education schedule. We will continue to work with our police department on a more regular basis this school year to keep our schools safe and drug free. Thank you and have a great rest of your week.

Clipper App Update: Clipper Students, Families and Friends, Apptegy has recently updated and improved our Clipper App. When updated, the new App will be white rather than red, and you will notice a new look when you open it. It may be that your apps are set to automatically update on your phone. If you do not have your phone set up this way, you will need to update the app manually. Once the app has been updated, in order to receive messages using the app, you MUST open the app, tap on "Menu" in the bottom lefthand corner, then tap on "Settings" gear in the bottom righthand corner. From here, you must select your Default Organization, My Schools, and the Push Notification Group you would like to receive messages from.
