CHS Picture Day Tomorrow (CCCTC Students):
Half-day PM students will have school pictures taken tomorrow at CHS before leaving for CCCTC.
Half-day AM students will have an opportunity to have their pictures taken at CHS on retake day (Oct. 4).
Full-day CCCTC students will have pictures taken at CCCTC on their scheduled day.

Our 10th grade class has been invited to the Skilled Trades Expo at the Canfield Fairgrounds on September 20th. This event will expose our students to career options in the Construction Trades. We understand that the construction trades are
not for everyone, however, we would like all sophomores to attend this event to serve as an experience provided to them in the area of career exploration. A permission form will be coming home with your student. Please be sure to return it by September 15th so your student can attend. If you have any questions about the field trip,
contact Mrs. Cleghorn in the high school counseling office. Thank you!

CCCTC Transportation Information for Aug. 21 and 22:
All buses to and from the Career Center will depart from and arrive back at Columbiana High School on Monday and Tuesday (Aug. 21 and 22). Students will need to arrange transportation to and from CHS for these two days.
Times are as follows:
AM departure from CHS - 7:10AM
PM arrival at CHS - 2:30PM
Half-Day morning departure from CHS - 10:10AM
Half-Day arrival at CHS - 11:10AM

CHS Scholarship Opportunity:
We hope everyone is enjoying the summer! Please read below for a lucrative scholarship opportunity (Deadline Aug. 18)!
The Vivek Ramaswamy American Identity Scholarship is a $25,000 scholarship that will be given to 10 students who best answer the question “what does it mean to be an American?” in a two-minute video.
The 10 winners will be selected by a panel of judges to each receive a $25,000 scholarship for post-secondary education (college or technical/vocational school), entrepreneurial endeavors, or their commitment to serve in the military or law enforcement.

CHS Athletic HOF Update:
Tickets are on sale now through August 1, 2023 for the upcoming Columbiana High School Athletic Hall of Fame induction dinner. The event will be Saturday, August 19, 6:00 pm at Columbiana High School. Tickets are $25 (12 and over) $12 (5-12 yrs.) and under 5 free. Two classes will be inducted. The Class of 2022 includes Wayne Armbrust (Class of 1961, Athletic Contributor), Josh Boggs (Class of 2000, Track and Cross Country), Sandy Garver (Class of 1980, Track). The Class of 2023 is, Jim "Moe" Meissner (Coach, 1976-1989), Jim Meissner (Class of 1988, Golf and Basketball), Eric Whitmer, (Coach, 1992-1995, 2007-2010).
