Congratulations to Aide Bowyer, Mia Strohecker, Yesenia Pantoja, and Chase Tomalka for their outstanding Youth Service awards for 2023. The Columbiana Rotary has recognized Aiden Bowyer as the 2023 Heroes and Halos outstanding member of the year, Mia Strohecker as the 2023 Columbiana Area outstanding Interact student of the year, Yesenia Pantoja as the 2023 Columbiana Area Girls Scout of the year and chase Tomalka as the 2023 Columbiana Area Boy Scout of the year. Each of these Clipper students should be commended for their outstanding service to the greater Columbiana community!

The Columbiana Exempted School District will be on a two hour delay for Tuesday, March 14. All classes , transportation. All starting times will be two hours later than the regularly scheduled time. Thank you.
Beauty and the Beast by the High School Theatre Program is scheduled for Friday, March 17, 2023 at 7:00 PM, Saturday, March 18, at 7:00 PM, and Sunday, March 19, 2023 at 2:00 PM. Congratulations to Paige Lawton. Paige won 6th place at the state speech tournament this weekend. She competed against 70 of the best speakers in the state.

CHS ACT Reminder:
Please be reminded that the Juniors will participate in the State Funded ACT tomorrow, February 28th. The high school will run on a 3 hour delay with regular busing for grades 9, 10, and 12. If your student(s) drive(s) or has transportation, they may arrive between 10:45 and 11:00. If using our busing, students will report to school at regular time and will have study hall until testing concludes for the juniors. Juniors must report at normal time. Parents and Students in Grades 8-11: Scheduling is now open for the 23-24 School Year. Mrs. Cleghorn will be in classrooms all week sharing out the Course Request Form. Forms can be accessed through my School Counseling Webpage (link below) and need to be submitted by March 10th at 2:45pm. If you have questions regarding the course request forms, contact Mrs. Cleghorn in the High School Counseling Office.

CHS Athletic Update:
Tonight's boys' basketball game against East Palestine has been canceled. The Clips will resume play this Friday night at Struthers as they take on the Wildcats!
Attention Clippers: as of 11pm Monday the Columbiana county EMA has been conducting testing and there are no advisories for Columbiana County outside of East Palestine for the county. EPA testing has been from East Liverpool to Columbiana monitoring the air and they have received zero reportable contamination of the air.
We are currently clear for a regular schedule for today. Out of precaution, all school activities will remain indoor including any recess activities. Thank you for your patience.
