CHS Basketball Tournament Tickets:
Clipper fans, basketball tournament action is here! The boys host Chagrin Falls tomorrow night, tipping off at 7:00. On Wednesday, the Lady Clips travel to Struthers in a district semi-final matchup against Wooster Triway, beginning at 7:30. Season passes are not accepted at tournament games. All tickets can either be purchased at the door or online ($8/adult and $5/student). Link for online purchasing is below. Go Clippers!

CHS ACT Reminder:
Tomorrow (Feb. 27), all Juniors will be taking the state-funded ACT. Following the completion of the test (approximately 11:45), Juniors will be offered lunch and excused from school, provided transportation has been arranged and the permission form has been returned to the office. All Freshmen, Sophomores, and Seniors will be excused from school on Feb. 27, as professional development will be provided for teachers following the ACT. CCCTC Students. Transportation will be running, as usual. Juniors are excused from CCCTC. However, if full-day Juniors still wish to report to CCCTC after ACT testing, individual transportation will need to be arranged. ALL Seniors (half-day and full-day) are required to be in attendance at CCCTC. Half-day Seniors needing transportation should report to CHS to catch the 10:10 bus. Thank you!

Congratulations to the lady clips basketball team for defeating Champion 39-34 to be Sectional Champs.
CHS Athletic Update:
Congratulations to Junior, Preston Buckingham, on placing in the 2024 OHSAA State Swim Meet this past week with a lifetime best swim! He competed in the 100 Breaststroke and the 200 IM. Preston finished 9th in the 100 Breaststroke (58.58) and 13th in the 200 IM (2:00.87). Go Preston and Go Clippers!
CCCTC Waiver Day Tomorrow:
CCCTC Students, with tomorrow being a waiver day, full day students are excused, half-day juniors should report to CHS at 11:00 for lunch and afternoon classes, half-day seniors will be excused from CHS at 10:10AM following their morning classes. Juniors not able to secure their transportation to CHS mid-day should ride the morning bus to CHS. Seniors not able to transport themselves home at 10:10 will need to remain at CHS for the rest of the day. Please call the high school office with questions. Thank you!

Congratulations to this year's Columbiana Middle School Spelling Bee contestants!
Special congratulations goes out to Columbiana Middle School District Champion, Eric Hepner and runner up, Sidney Schlueter who both qualify for the County Spelling Bee. Also qualifying for the County Spelling Bee on March 2nd at Beaver Local High School is Brooke Mazzone and Kingsley Wang! Great job to all of our participants!!

The Clipper Bot Squad A (primary competitors Kelsey Cameron and Paxton Loosli, with Deron Winnale also participating) once again had a very competitive season in the Columbiana County VEX league, ending the season in 2nd place out of 27 teams!
Bot Squad A punched their ticket to the state tournament by not only winning the CCCTC competition, but also receiving the Excellence Award!
Furthermore, the Clipper Bot Squad B team (primary competitors Connor Dattilio and Andrew Kridler with Jarod Bates also participating) received the Sportsmanship Award.
We are extremely proud of our representatives from Columbiana and our advisor, Mrs. McCormick!
