WASHINGTON D.C.—Today, Congressman Michael Rulli (OH-06) issues a statement of congratulations to three middle schools located in Ohio’s 6th Congressional District on achieving National Blue Ribbon School status for the 2024 year. His statement is as follows:
“Congratulations to the students, teachers, and staff of Columbiana South Side, Harding, and Leona Ave Middle School on being recognized as National Blue Ribbon Schools for 2024! This prestigious award recognizes all the hard work, dedication, and commitment to education put into our school systems over the years from both students and faculty,” said Congressman Rulli. “I can’t wait to see what the future holds for these students!”
The three Blue Ribbon Schools are Columbiana South Side Middle School, Harding Middle School, and Leona Ave Middle School. The program specifically serves to award and recognize public and private elementary, middle, and high schools based on their overall academic excellence or their progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups. The formal recognition ceremony of the 2024 cohort of National Blue Ribbon Schools will take place in Washington, DC on November 7th and November 8th at the Omni Shoreham Hotel. At the awards ceremony, each school will be presented with an award plaque and a flag as symbols of their accomplishments.
